Canon 5Dmk2 & 24-70 Error 01

with the 24-70 fitted it keeps dispalying error 01 keeps doing it since yesterday has been fine until half way through a shoot yesterday just came up with that and wouldn't work after that

I've tried cleaning contacts on camera and lens.

any ideas ?

If you have already tried cleaning the contacts it may need a call to canon for repiar did you try a pencil rubber to clean contacts?

Is it the camera or lens that's poorly.. does the camera give the error with other lenses? Does the 24-70 produce an error on a different Canon body?

Camera works fine with other lenses, will try a pencil rubber and see if that works, it was only a few months back that it was repaired hopefully its cover by the repair centres warrenty.
