Canon 60 D on Manual..

I have switched the dial to manual mode and the shutter speed comes up and I have set that but now I want to set the aperture priority but cant change over.
The manual states that I should press the unlock button so I looked in the manual for that and they say the unlock button is under the dial so I pressed the button and the view screen went off, press it again and the view screen comes on..
but no change from aperture speed to aperture priority.

Any clues..
 
Hi Paul

Do you not turn the rear dial (next to LCD) to alter apature, whilst the small dial on top alters the shutter speed ?

Think the manual is suggesting to press the unlock buton, so the large dial (LCD) will actually function.
 
I have not got a 60D but my 50d in Manual mode the little dial on the top next to the shuuter realease button changes shutter speed and the big dial on the rear of the camera changes the Aperture. I press no other buttons.

Press the Q button to access the menu on the back screen! You can get to it there or I think its the star/ zoom out button and the dial to alter the aperture!!

I tried you way first andyred and that seems to work.. just fooled me a little bit there but I think it will work now.

PS.. Just looked at the manual again and it did say by pictures about both dials its just a bad diagram I think..
