Well i picked up my 100-400 off of a fella off this site and wow! it is in immaculate condition, and i can't wait to get out there and use it. I'm now after a 70-200 lens, and i'm considering the 70-200 f4 non stabilised. any good?
For the money, you can't go far wrong with the lens. I have one and absolutely love it.
Having said that, as per Mark's post, it can have limitations in terms of being F4 and non-stabalized. But then the F2.8 stabalized is going to cost you a hell of a lot more.
Bottom line, quality lens that isn't going to cost the earth.
I have had the 70-200mm F4 and it is simply an amazing lens - excellent for the money. It is very sharp, moreso than my 70-200 F2.8 IS was @ F4 in all honesty. I only sold it on because I got the opportunity to upgrade to the IS version as a very attractive price.

From all I have read and seen personally the 70-200 f/4 IS is the best of the lot...except for the new f/2.8 IS if it is really that good...and I should hope it would be.
Having used both the 100-400 and the 70-200 f4 IS (not the non-IS) I'd say the 70-200 is better in the areas they overlap but the 100-400 is still very good. The 70-200 is also a bit lighter and smaller as mentioned above. As you've got the 100-400 already I'd say getting the 70-200 as well would mostly be about portability and convenience.
I've got the 100-400 and the 70-200 F4 IS, and I use both alot, in the areas where they overlap the 70-200 is sharper and and to my eye the colours are better, It is also far more convenent for cat and orchid shows, and so far the F4 is enough for what I do with it, both of them will be in my kit bag for ever.
I have the 100-400 and the 70-200 F4L non IS, it is a great lens and combination, as said where they overlap the 70-200 takes it, has constant F4 and the colours are better in my oppinion.
