Hi everyone.
Ive been offered this lens, it has no box and is around 4-5 years old.
What sort of price should I be looking to pay?

Would this be a good and worthwhile addition for portraits, to my 105mm, 40mm and 85mm?

£300-£325 that sort of ballpark. I paid about £350 odd on fleabay a couple of months ago- but that was boxed with a Hoya filter and a genuine Canon tripod mount.

They are asking for about £350 for it and to be honest I can get it on fleabay for around the same like you with box and filter etc.

Think I'm going to wait and keep an eye out.
 
Yeah they come up quite often on here in the classifieds. The IS lenses go for about £550 on here IIRC- which is significantly less than shop or ebay prices. They are apparently a little sharper than the non-IS, but all the Canon 70-200s seem to be good lenses and I have no issue with the quality from my 'vanilla' lens.
