Anyone use this camera ? I have the option to buy one only a few months old, for a VERY good price, with the kit lens and a bag.
I usually photograph scenery and outdoor stuff, but am doing more and more indoor shots involving my 3 year old grandson, action and low light situations.

Is it any good ?

I picked one up recently second hand too. It's a decent crop sensor dslr. The kit lens is 18-55 f3.5-5.6 which is fine outdoors but might be wanting for low light situations so think about an inexpensive 50 f1.8 for that.
 
I have a 700D, it's my only Camera and first one as well, I don't really use it in low light much but if I do then it's long exposures so I can keep the ISO down and reduce noise anyway. I like it a lot, for the price it's a superb camera. If you want to shoot action in low light then a fast lens might help more than the actual camera tho? Yeah, I think I'll upgrade the lens, maybe a 50mm prime, and a decent zoom.
Picked it up this morning.........£75 !! Came with a small bag, and 5 filters which I didn't expect.

Bargain - thought I was doing well to get mine for something over 100.
 
Bargain, at £75. I have one and use it for holidays, family does etc, I also have a 5D mk3, which is a great camera but a bit heavy and is used for other occassions. I had the 17-135 STM lens which does most things and is silent when using it for video, which the 700D is good at. The 50 mm lens is a good idea, but where light is low and usually for family and holidays flash is not a problem, so use it.
One feature I do find extremely useful is a feature called Night time hand held portrait, I used it first in the Vatican St Peter's, it is a form of HDR and gives excellent result (within constraints). I found a corner so was steady and it takes 3 shots and merges them, and the result is something which I could get any other way. Really good for inside churches etc where flash cannot be used.
 
I found that feature in Rome too. On my 70D. Went up to the back of the forum where the glass cases are and tried it there. Also on the lightshows in the forum at night time.

Thought how great it was just letting the camera take four successive shots by itself and exposing beautifully. That was until I got home and found out how small the filesize was and virtually unusable.

Is that night time feature hidden nside the menus ?
