Canon 7D 19 Auto Focus problem

Hi

Anyone know how to repair this or have had it themselves?

Basically today my 7D when on 19 Auto Focus AI Servo, AI Servo and One Shot will not focus at all on any of my lenses. It will start to focus but if I zoom in nothing, you can see the lens trying to focus but it is like it is stuck and the image through the view finder is blurred still. I have a warranty with it, but was wondering if they is anything I can do before sending it off?

Check you haven't accidentally knocked the eyepiece diopter adjustment

Hi,

I don't think the diopter can effect AF as its just an adjustment for the eyepiece.

I never had the issue you're having, but a quick google search showed this article where someone did - link - and it backs up something I was going to suggest - resetting the custom settings back to factory - always worth a go when all else fails.
