How many shots can I expect from a full charge? no video, just pictures

S+Raw setting, genuine canon battery

I ordered some batteries but they didnt arrive :(
 
Using IS all the time is a real battery killer, as is continuously reviewing images on the LCD screen.

The best I have had out my Canon battery is 285! I did contact Canon UK, who swapped the battery, but that was no better. They tested my old one, which was fine and within specification. The conclusion was that it is my style of usage. I must confess that I do use live view quit a lot, especially when using manual lenses. I don't worry about it, as I always carry a spare fully charged battery, which is none Canon and that gives me about the same shots per charge.

At the time of posting, the battery info is showing 31 images and 80% capacity remaining.
 
That is rather low, I've shot several hundreds in the past, I'm pretty sure, as regards using live view I shot an hour of video clips plus a some stills last weekend and still had battery left.
 
Thanks guys, I took just over 1000 shots and the battery still had 1 bar left. I was very conscious of the battery though and did switch IS off a few times and limited my use of the screen. It probably did effect my photography a little in some situations as it was always at the back of my mind. After the event, I got home and the batteries were sat on the door mat, the seller had lied about the day they were posted lol.
