Canon 7D MK II and EOS 90 settings for birds in flights

Shutter speeds above 1/2500 sec and aperture depends on your background distance from your subjects . If its birds at sea you would get away with f8 , anything else normally f5.6. Modes , it depends on what you are comfortable with, Manual or AV would be my choice to get the speed right. Auto ISO is whats used if conditions or light is fading or flight path is in and out of shadowed areas.

I have a 7Dii but not a 90d.

There is a lot of advice on the web for AF settings, much of which is conflicting. It depends what you are shooting and in what conditions. Also how good you are at finding a small subject in the viewfinder and being able to track it.
