Hello

Im on the lookout for a fairly large shoulder bag that will take a gripped 40d with 70-200 and a 1dmkii with 24-70 along with an other couple of lenses and maybe a flash or 2.

Ive seen the Canon Professional 1EG bag for a decent price £60inc p&p but i was wondering if its large enough? Read one review that says it doesnt take as much kit as it make out.

Any other large bags to consider that dont break the bank? Lowepro 650 would be the job but its near £100 more expensive :(

Cheers

I got the Lowepro slingshot 300 from Jessops for £59 and it takes a 20D + grip and 55-250 a 350D + Grip with 18-55, a 70-300, cable releases, flash, 2 x TC, filters, chargers, Sony Handycam, batteries + loads of extras and its brilliant, easy to carry and remarkably quick to swing/open.

Seeing this above Betty's calendar thread, I entered into this topic with high hopes.

Sadly 'Canon Bags' are not the euphamism I'd hoped.

I bought the 10EG, personally found it a bit of a dissappointment, don't see the 1EG being much better ! I've now got a LowePro back pack as well !!

Cheers for the responses :)

Ive got a Lowepro fastpack 200 and ive managed to shoehorn in
Gripped40d with 70-200 2.8
1Dmkii with 24-70 2.8
10-20
50 1.8
2x550ex
4x4AA's
flash triggers

Only problem is its not easy to access anything lol.

Managed to pick up a cheap Lowepro Nova 5 aw on ebay. Should be big enough from the reviews and lot more user friendly! Just hope it arrives today :D

I have got the bag and although its fairly big and deep enough for the bigger or gripped cameras you need to be able to pack carefully to get everthing in if you have a long (in my case a 70-200) lens!

Pockets on the outside are good though, and there are 2 removable compartments in lid. If you are packing it to get everything possible in then yes it would take more, but if you want to get stuff out quickly without putting things on the floor its not going to happen!

The layout on mine has one camera on the left widthways, along the back is the other camera and the 24-70 and at the front is the 70-200 and a space for the batteries and things. Just played around and there is plenty of room on top of the the 70-200 for a flash in its case or a 400 5.6 if you don't use any padding between them. I would not want more than I have got in it as its heavy enough to lug around as it is
