I film birds as well as photograph them and I love the look of what the canon 550d can do in terms of filming. Some of the videos I've seen are stunning. Much better than my camcorder at not much more money but could I affordable replace my oly dslr as well. Kind of an all in one solution?
The thing is my oly 520 is 70-300 which on 4/3rds is 600mm efl
but I have noticed that some of my better shots (as far as goes) are probably at 200mm (400 efl) . So is there an affordable birding lens for canon. New the 70-300 is in the right ball park. I certainly don't mind (would prefer actually) used though. Say up to £300 ish
Is the 300mm too short?
Comes to something when the dslr is nearly as good as a camcorder but as an "add on" to the camera
any advice gratefully recieved...
