I`m looking at getting a macro.
I`m not looking at arty fly eye pics, I don't want to capture just a part of the subject, just need something to get good quality bug/insect/moth/ etc pictures in detail and really clear, close up.
Does anyone use the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens, if so, how do you rate it? And if anyone has any sample pictures of what this lens is like it would be great.
I know that the Canon EF 100mm f2.8L some say is better but I don't have the extra £300 to spend on that at the moment but really want to order a lens this weekend, I have about £400 to spend. And I know that I'll probably need to get an external flash at some point as well.
Someone said the Sigma 150mm is also good but again not something I have the money for right now and I do prefer Canon lenses.
The camera I will be using the lens on is the Canon 550D.
Any advice would be great.
Cheers, Rob
