Well after looking at all the links that you posted for me to check out the nifty fifty I am going to spend the £ and purchase one to go with my Sigma 17-70.
Where would be the best place to purchase one from?
Once the lens arrives back to more reading and learning from you guys.

Another vote for kerso, I've just ordered some gear for the second time from him and he was the cheapest for price with the added bonus of dealing with and supporting a fellow forum member, not some spotty Saturday kid or couldn't be arsed telesales chap!!!!!!

Great lens. Better in every respect than the f/1.8 and should hold it's value well as they are always sought after.
