Canon EOS Utility problem

Hi people

Got a new laptop and since had problems with EOS utility. Everytime I try use it it says "camera cannot be recognised". No idea why this is happening. Had it installed on my old shed of a desktop and it worked flawlessly. For what its worth, laptop is a Dell 1545 and camera is a 400D.

Any ideas?

Usually this means that the detecting module for the camera isn't loaded. You get this if you already have the utility loaded, but for another camera. In this case you've got to load the whole thing again.

I take it you've tried reinstalling the application. If so nip to the Canon web site and see if there is a latter version for you camera.
