hi i have been given a canon fd 135mm f3.5 lens and i was wondering if anyone know if its any good and if its worth my while spending about £7 on a fd to eos adapter for it.

i have a canon 500d and dont have much money for lenses (i know silly hobby with no money).

also could anyone please recomend a good but very cheap macro lens.

Get a FD-EOS converter without the optical element and 135mm (presuming it is any good) will be your macro (and only macro).

The normal FD-EOS converters are not too good sadly. FD lenses work much better on m4/3 crowd and other mirorless cameras such as sony nex-5.

i.e. It won't focus to infinity.

It'll work best on an FD body, which could possibly not much more than an adapter ;)
