Canon ip4600 printer help

I have been given a canon ip 4600 printer which I have installed, but either I'm missing some instructions or I have missed something but I'm left with a plastic drip? tray thing, wheres it supposed to go? it was in the printer head slot when it came but it's above the ink cartridges there, and I can't find any reference to it anywhere. I'm guessing it's important or it wouldn't be in the kit. help!

Heres a pic, the tray is about 6x2 inches thin flimsy plastic. (not a great pic lol)

It fits in the bin, its just a dust cover for the new cartidges

Oh thanks guys, when I got the printer it was taped inside where the print head goes, thought it was important.
