Canon L primes or nikkon/zeiss ?

Hi all -
I'm just researching a set of prime lenses to use mostly for shooting video on the 7D. Just wondering what people's thoughts are on using the canon L series lenses versus a set of older nikkon or Zeiss...

My observations would be that the L's will have autofocus, sometimes IS, and weather seeling. The other ones will hopefully have an aperture ring but manual focus and I assume not weather sealed.

What about in terms of picture quality and also build quality - what would you go for?

For video you'll probably still be manual focusing so that isn't an issue IMHO. Ls will be much easier to use for photography though and you may find the IS useful for video. From what I've read, Zeiss edge them all for image quality (although not tested this myself).
