Canon Lens Repair

Hi all

A business partner of mine has just mentioned that he has a 100-400 which he doesn't use because it has condensation inside.

Canon (via Jessops) have quoted him £750 to repair the lens. That seems rather a lot for a lens that's worth about that much money.

Can anyone give me some thoughts on this or better still, recommend a repairer who might not charge so much money.

Try to phone Canon directly at Elstree on Monday and see what they say,

I think Jessops have their own repair centre they use rather than canon themselves.
