Can this camera be set up to take pictures automatically? For instance, can you specify that you want it to take 1 picture every 2 minutes for a duration of 10 minutes, a total of 5 photographs?

If it isnt possible with the factory firmware than can it be done using CHDK?

Can anyone let me know if its possible and if it isnt then let me know what would be the closest alternative to get what im trying to do?

Doesn't it give you that info in the instruction manual?
I have a feeling there is a limited type of time lapse setting or intervalometer on that camera, if not, you can always modify the firmware, either yourself or using CHDK ( google it or CLICK HERE)

I know the Nikon P7000/7100 has an intervalometer as do many other cameras if you research them.
