Canon repairs what a trun

last week (Tues) I sent my 100-400mm IS L in for a service as the manual focus was tight.
Well yesterday I got a letter saying until I pay they can not do the work??? I had phone in on Wednesday and paid by card....

What was going on? well someone had not updated the computer
What happened next? I wish I had been a fly on the wall as this morning I got my repaired lens back.

I sent a 100-400 in ant they called me as soon as they got it and told me it would be a fixed price repair of £127.50 inc vat and return postage so I paid there and then, lens was back in a few days with a new IS unit, service and calibration with 6 month warranty, well happy.
