I recently purchased a 30D but I didnt get the Canon software with it - does anyone know where I can either download / buy it from ?

All I can find on the Canon website is an updater which I am guessing is for people who already own the software ??

Not something to publicise though. When you buy your camera and the discs supplied for sofware you only purchase a license to use the software you don't actually own the software. Therefore copying and distribuiting is actually illegal. Your friend is Jessops may prefer it if you deleted the post above.

Not sure that its illegal as its freely downloadable from the Japanese Canon Website ?

Would like the link myself. Find it difficult to understand why it is available on the Japan site when every other Canon site throughout the world only has the updates.
Also Canon include a tick box at the end of their terms and conditions which you must agree to before being able to install the software. The terms and conditions state you will not copy or redistrubute the software. They also state the software belongs to canon and all you have purchased is a license to use the software.
I'm not trying to be a pain about this I know it goes on as it does with music, dvds etc. I only posted to inform the original poster about stating online that he was using redistributed software.
