Hey all,

My dad is currently looking after an old T90 of mine. The batteries are fresh (4xAA's) and the camera functions all work, modes, metering, etc, but it won't fire. He says there is a quiet 'electronic whirring' sound can be heard when you press the shutter.

He's some 200 miles away from me so I can't get hands-on... is there a second battery hidden anywhere or are there any shutter jam issues that people have experienced?

TIA

Stoo :)

T90's were notorious for jamming shutters. One solution was to set to bulb and trip the shutter and then gently tap the bottom of the body on a hard surface. Won't recommend it but it did used to work.

The T90 is a camera to be used and if storing, fire the shutter once a month. Another idea for a stuck shutter is take off the lens and hold the shutter button down whilst bringing the camera smartly vertically down on a hard pillow or similar.
