Canon tripod mounts

I'm thinking about getting a tripod mount for my 70-200 f4 so I can use it with my monopod, but Canon's £125 price tag seems a little extreme for what it is.

So my question is, what are the cheapo ones like? Are they a tenth the quality of the Canon gear?

I bought one very similar to that off of eBay. Works fine for what I want out of a tripod mount. [Also for the 70-200 F4]

I had one for my 70-200L and now have one for the 70-300L Both do the job.
