This guy is selling a CANOSCAN 8400F and was wondering what your guys views were on it. I'm not sure on the price he wants for it but how does it rate in the world of scanners?

Comes boxed with all cds, manuals and 35mm, platen, MF, slide holders.

I've got the 8800F and it's fab. Got some from it in my gallery and I've printed them up on A4 and the detail is there all right. I'll try an A3 next. Really easy to use for the MF negs and was about £130 if that helps.
 
Not used a 8400F cherryrig, you would have to compare the specs.

Doesn't seem that different just the larger dpi when scanning but who uses it at the max!!
 
If it's a bargain it might well be worth a go.:)

At least I could tell you the new price of the 8800F so you can compare that!
