I'm having trouble deciding here, I want to order one of these today and am a bit torn! Anyone have any real experience with both that can advise?

That is something I'd also recommend, Its fine if you have time to compose your shot but with kids bouncing around, AF wins hands down.

I have a zeiss lens that is manual focus, beautiful lens but I just don't use it often enough. Even on a full frame body it is difficult to know when you have nailed focus in low light.

Hi Dean, I picked one up from http://www.newhorizonps.co.uk/ I got it for 629 but that was cash and collect deal. Its just 5 mins away from me so was ideal!
I have to say, first impressions are fantastic!
Great build, much faster auto focus than I was expecting and tack sharp at f1.4 with accurate AF. I ll put it through it's paces today and I have a photoshoot on sunday to try it out on too!
