Cant decide which lens.

O.k so i'm a newbie, with a Nikon d90 and 18-105 kit lens.

I use my camera mainly for taking pics of my daughter, and a few landscapes ( i know the kit lens isnt ideal but its all i have for now). The gf wants to buy me a lens, so i have roughly £280 to play with.

On one hand i fancied getting a better walk about (general use) lens which would be great for family pics but could cope pretty well doing landscapes until i bought a decent wide lens.

The Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 caught my eye ( £260 new from here http://www.onestop-digital.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=33819)

On the other hand i fancied a fast prime being,

Nikon 50mm 1.8 af which can be had for £100 new from Amazon ( i know there's a newer version) but for 100quid its a bargain.

Now if i buy the prime i can also buy a YongNou Speedlite yn465, ( along with http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/403/show.html) and a Raynox 250.


So what would you go for?

Tamron 17-50 2.8 or Nikon 50mm 1.8af + Speedlight + Raynox 250?

Haven't tried the lenses you mentioned but the 35mm 1.8 was highly recommended on here. I bought mine a few weeks ago and it's hardly been off of my camera since :) £179 new but can probably buy used for less.
 
I would go for the tamron my self, then save up and get the 35mm 1.8g at a later date. 35mm is a little more useful on a crop sensor.
 
I got the 50mm s/h shortly after I got my D90 as it was such a good price and I didn't have much to spend.

I've just ordered the Tamron though - should arrive tomorrow. :)
