Can't find how to adjust 7D Exposure Compensation in Live View mode

I'm on Version 1.2.2 No time constraints here - I just checked. I never use Live View mind you. :D

Same as Ced`s. Seems the latest version fixes a load of Phenomenonnomenonnomenon`s that I did not have anyway :shrug:
 
Is you camera on switch on the first click or second?
 
Just tested my 7D, the timeout only applies in normal mode, not live view, mine times out in exactly 5 seconds.

Timeout is 15 seconds from when you last touch the dial in live view ;)

Just to clarify that Joe, are you saying you cannot adjust EC after 17 seconds when in live view?

You have to push either * or half depress the shutter button. This activates EC in live view. You can play with EC for as long as you like in live view mode providing you keep playing with it. If you stop turning the dial and don't touch it in 17 (actually I think it is 16) seconds, the mode is exited leaving you with the dialled in EC. If you turn the dial within those 16 seconds, the timeout is cancelled and started again when you stop turning the dial.

Yes. This may vary depending on whether or not you have exposure simulation set in the menus? Exposure simulation means what you see on the screen is what you get in your shot.

Tried exposure simulation on & off, had no effect on the timeout.

Which would make sense really as that's how it works in standard mode...
