Car ID required

Anybody know what this beauty is? Snapped it from a moving bus, so only got one pic

It looked a bit like a Maserati or Ferrari 250 from the front.

Dunno, but the Hillman Imp rear lights and the format of the reg number suggest it's a kit car...

I think I can make out a 1983 "Y" registration, so my guess is it may be a kit of some sort.

Kit or not, damn nice car and great shot through a bus window - well done!

I would say kit aswell, due to the hideous 'Mudguards' ! Look like they are off a trailor, what a shame !

I'd love something like that - preferably without the mudguards, but they're likely some MOT requirement.

Definately a Kit car, shame about the mudguards, you can get some that have a teadrop shape but they are a nightmare to fit.

Great shot though, no glass reflections.

The black and white numberplate makes me think it's a bit pre 1983!

Front half with those mudguards is reminiscent of an Allard or something similair, but the back end is throwing me...
