These two are regular visitors to my garden. And now they have a chick even more so. They never sit still long enough to get a really good shot, and they are very rarely in the same shot together. Taken this morning whilst they were gathering food for the chick. Shot in RAW and then cropped, colour slightly boosted and unsharp mask added in Capture NX. Used my Sigma 70-300.

Great capture - I'd be tempted to clone out the wire but aside from that a really nice shot

The male really is that bright red and the females beak almost looks like it glows, it's that orange. They are great birds to watch in the garden especially when they are courting as the male will feed the female and follow her everywhere. And his call to her is fantastic; almost sounds like he's saying Pretty, Pretty about 8 or 9 times in a row.

Very nice capture

I personally would have cropped a lot tighter. There's a lot of space at the top and down the bottom that isn't really needed IMO.
