Cat basking in the sun

This shot was inspired by Donki's thread here.

I have been running around after the cat with my nifty fifty hoping for the ideal opportunity and here it is.

There was a huge sunny patch in front of my living room window today and he decided to have a right good roll around in it, and luckily I had the camera all set up and ready.

I know that it's a little overexposed in places, but I really think that it shows the ambient light in the room, and adds to the shot rather than detracts from it.

I like it, eye's are well exposed and sharp and like the unusual pose/composition.

Thanks, I thought the whole lot were going to be a wash out due to the brightness of the sun through the south facing window, but I'm really happy with this one.
