Caught this lad on Alnmouth beach in Northumberland "toying" with the waves as we all have done when we were kids!. The weather was a typical North Eastern summer, dull grey sky, warmish but overcast.

If you are going to crop it then crop it on the right not the left. You need space on the left for the subject to be running into.

CSI style (hope you don't mind!)...
Liking the processing on this one, much more vibrant. Don't think the original needs a crop either, as the composition works just fine for me.
Lose anything off the left and there's nowhere to run "in to". Lose anything off the right and you compromise the splashing of the water.
