Hi still class my self as a noob to all this so here goes lost a 8GB cf card thing must have sprouted legs and walked out searched everywhere to no avail, so in the market for a new card question is 7 day shop are coming up the cheapest, will I notice the difference between sandisk 8GB Extreme at £39.99 or sandisk 8GB ultra at £19.99, what is the difference? or do I just buy there transound 8GB ultra at £19.99
Please help:shrug:

differences are the transfer rates.

IIRc, the ultras are a bit older technology, and only go up to about 15mb/s. the extremes are newer, with the iv being the newest, and the iii being the on inbetween the ultra 2 and the extreme 4. the extreme is faster, but if you're not taking a lot of burst shots, and filling the bufffer, i'd just get the ultra.

The main difference is speed.
If you look on that website then it says 30MB/sec for the ultra III and 21.5MB/sec for the transcend.
It's up to you which you buy, but my money would go on the transcend.
I'd consider the ultra III if I shot 100 shot bursts regularly, but I don't.

Of course the other issue is getting the shots from the card onto the pc for editing, which is where the faster read speed comes in as well ;)

As for choice, it all depends on your camera as well
