Chaffinch in flight

Hi all,

I tried to get some shots of a chaffinch in flight as it approached a feeder - I think this was the best of the shots I took - interested in people's opinions!

Including the feeder might give the shot more relevance, else without a traget landing it looks odd.

I prefer the first shot myself. As I hate shots with feeders in them.

Love birds action photography, i think i would crop it more though, but then it depends from the feather details.

Cracking shot. You have got the timing just right on that one. The body is nicely sharp and the wings nicely blured but with enough detail

I prefer the edit as it has more relevance as previously mentioned.
