These little vipers are called Variable bush vipers and change colour as they grow and this one is getting more vivid as she matures.

Lovely colours and beautiful detail in the eye. I'm a bit distracted by the coil in the top left but that's minor.
It reminds me of the dragons Anne McCaffrey used to have on her book covers.
 
I like the picture,only thing I don't like is the right top corner

I agree and its a shame she wouldnt sit in a better position however with this being such a dangerous little snake I left her to it.

This was from the same shoot and is a little more what I was aiming for

I think I prefer the second image for the angle of the head, shape of the mouth, larger pupil.
The scales are more in focus too as most of the snake is on the same plane.
I also think it looks more dynamic, as if the snake is about to make a move.
It's a beautiful creature.

+1. I prefer the lighting too in the second image.

Very appealing (as a photo - not too keen on the "such a dangerous little snake":eek: side of it).
