So I was getting my kids up this morning, opened their curtains, and then pulled up the blackout blind we have behind it. Then put the blackout blind all the way down to the floor, well nearly.

And it got me thinking, how would a household blackout blind work as a background? I was thinking it terms of both cost, and practicality.

DUnelm sell them here

And they are £17.99 for 72" wide and 63" long for the largest size.

Now I know that is maybe not long enough, particularly if using a train, but it is quite wide.

It would appear to be to be a quite cheap way of of having a background system, storing them on their rolls and then swapping them over as required.

Any thoughts?

I just go along to my local material shop. Not too bad a price and variuos colours available if needed

.....I've got a couple of roller blinds from the bargain buckets at DIY shops. They are OK for head and shoulder shots, and roll up nicely with no creases as well. :)
