Cheap basic flash?

Hi guys. Any advice on a cheap flash for a canon 500d? Very tight budget so cheaper the better ! Thanks

Yong Nuo ones are quite cheap... I had the older ones from Flash in the pan.. still works, although i had to do a repair to the buttons as they weren't functioning.
