It's still going strong and had no issues with it. Some people will hate it because it's a 'cheap' copy, and sure it's not a Gitzo, but if you're looking for a good midrange tripod at a good price it's an option.

your tripod looks very similar to my benro with the difference of the assembly unit has these metallic paint as opposed to a matt black finish. mine was £100 2nd hand without head and i trust it.
to OP, general attitude to these sort of accessories where quality and sturdiness is key - "buy cheap, buy twice!"
battery grips, remote or interval meters, why not...but a tripod, it affects the qualities of your pictures therefore should you compromise.
