Looking at getting a CPL for holidays and saw a pointer in the direction of 7dayshop - they have their own brand filters from about a fiver up to 18 quid for Hoya stuff - is it a case that you get what you pay for? Is it worth spending a fiver to find out if it is any good or is it going to be crap for the money? Ta

It's only a fiver, I'd try the 7dayshop one first, unless you're putting onto a grands worth of pro glass.....

In one word......................DONT.

Save and get a decent one. I went down this road and got a hole heap of bother, out of focus shots, terrible colours in my shots, yada yada yada.
