Cheap remote camera ideas please

Thinking about getting something specifically for shots of horses over a fence from the ground. Easy option is one of my D300's but thinking forward some venues want silence, and a flippy screen will make setting up a whole heap easier. So, current thinking about ideal specs:

Mirrorless for silence, 24MP or so more than enough, AF abilities irrelevant as will be pre-focusing, flippy screen, decent cheap lens around 15-50mm, fast not important as will be stopping down for DoF, 10fps probably not really enough but a fair compromise

And cheap cheap cheap.

Ideas please! Or do you reckon my specs are wrong?

My normal remote kit consists of a Canon 1D MkIII and a Sigma 15-30mm totalling about £400 - although quite a bit more when I got them.

Add in a Manfrotto Pixi and a couple of PW Mk IIIs for triggering.

No need for silent kit in equestrian unless you are shooting the Olympics.
