Christmas present ideas

A friend lent me his backup DSLR for Sep-Oct, which was really helpful in helping me confirm that I was really interested in photography and decide which camera to get.

I wanted to get him a gift for Christmas to say thanks. Nothing too big or expensive (maybe around £10-£20), just thought it was a nice way of showing how much I've appreciated his help and advice.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Find out what aspect of photography he's really keen on and prehaps get him a book on it? It would be a nice thought.

If he's still using the manufacturer's camera strap that came with the camera, then he might appreciate an OpTech Pro strap - much more comfortable and without the big "steal me!" lettering. Nicely within your budget.

Bottle of single malt?

Balvenie on offer in sainsbury at the mo. £25ish, hmm thats more than £20 isnt it. D'oh!:cuckoo:

Gift subscriptiopn to a photo mag?

Thanks, several great ideas there. I don't want to spend too much as I don't want to embarrass him, just something smallish to say thanks. I like the book idea, and also like the strap one - I think he still has the branded strap so a new strap might be good.

Thanks, a few things to think about now. :D

I can vouch for the OpTech.

Great addition to my camera, I would be over the moon if somebody bought me one of those.
