Thanks guys I looked on the RSPB site and it is indeed a coal tit, seems the marsh and willow tits don't have the 3 white spots on the wing, and not so much black around the throat.

It was great seeing these guys so close up - this shot was taken at 200mm and cropped a bit - when I realised I wasn't at 300mm he'd flown away :bang:

These little fellas don't stay anywhere for too long ... ... and you won't be getting a second chance if you get it wrong ...

Ven - I got lots of tries at these guys but light wasn't doing me any favours - bright sunlight so either too glary or dark shadows Got a chaffinch shot from the same spot to post up as well

Fangman - with all that kit in your avatar you should have no problem
