Can someone please help , or advise , as I am uncertain how to resolve
this problem.
The problem I have is, The colour in a photo on my screen in ps. is not the same as when displayed in say explorer or anywhere else on my pc . The p/s colour is pale in comparison but when i print it, it is the same as in explorer . The screen is calibrated reguarly using huey & is fine .It is in photoshop where the prob exists. Does anyone have any idea how to correct this .I would be most grateful for any help. colin.

Hi Colin,

1 possible solution. If you are working in Adobe RGB colour space rather than SGB colours will look different on a computer screen than when printed. I guess explorer will only show SGB colours, hence the difference. You can toggle colour settings in Menu > Edit > Colorspace in Organizer. In editor Menu > Image >Convert Color Profile.

Thanks richpips, I have tried changing the profile in editer selecting both sgb & rgb & it made no difference, however I clicked on remove profile & that corrected the photo to same as explorer photo.I am not sure where that leaves me , ie no profile selected. I can not see edit - colourspace in organiser only edit colour setting , which is different.

Thanks chaz, i am sorry but I dont understand what you mean .by that. I find this colour space Thing difficult to really grasp. I have noted Px18s views on this subject in past threads & can follow them for the most part , but still not really resolved my issues with it all.If a photo is not srgb or rgb , ie no profile, then what is it?
I now see that elements organiser displays in srgb only.. This doesnt affect me anyway as I cant see any difference when viewing my screen
