colours ok in lightroom, bad in PS CS4

I have a black and white photo, it looks great in lightroom, but in PS the photo has shade lines if you know what I mean. Basically like there are not enough shades in PS.

here is a screenshot of both images hopefully it will come out.

Any ideas?

Is PS set to proof the image? Check the View > Proof menu...

the 2nd image has some very feint pale blue lines running from just under her hat above her left eye right down her left hand side to the side of her mouth

Ive been messing around with the menus, and I turned off some of the 3D acceleration stuff and it works.

With the options on I can change the proof stuff and get it to work. But should I? What is the best setting to have it on?

It could be that your gfx card is dropping the texture quality due to lack of ram or an option in the driver - turning off the 3D stuff seems like the best solution if you can't fix it through the gfx driver settings.
