I suppose this is a flower, so i think the nature section is where it belongs!

For those of you that read the DP mag, you'll probably have seen the section on the flowers and the torch technique?

Well here is my attempt. I took about 5 or 6 shots (Cant quite remember how many) stuck the together in PS and Bobs your uncle! Only other adjustment is the colour on the background lighting. What do you think?

I'll have to have play with some more objects :)

A goose, where!!!!? :LOL:

It was my second attempt, my first one failed awfully.

It's a budget photo imo, flowers and vase from the Pound shop and the water has red food dye in it ;)
 
That does work quite well JB ... (y) ... especially for a first attempt and done on the cheap so to speak ... :D

nice picture! really like the colours and the lighting on that, I was in need of some inspiration, may have a go at some flowers myself! (y)
 
What you need is one of those Maglights with a focusable beam, I tried it with a normal torch and it was a right mess. :(

Just use a slowish shutter of about 1/2 sec, f/8 and hey presto. :)
