Common Blue

Here's my first Common Blue butterfly capture. I got this last week on a windy day. I followed it for what seemed ages to get it to pose with wings open.

Nice shot, just ant help thinkin it would have been better if the whole butterfly was in focus more DOF, and it seems to be dropping out of the frame, a little more room at the bottom, but still good comp, had it had a teenie weenie bit more space,

these are very common where I live, seen more of these this year,than any other species and painted ladies are riff

Common Blue distribution is in decline in the UK.

as for Painted Ladies I saw ~100 on Sunday but 1 guy in Ayrshire counted 702 in a day a few weeks ago! I'm sure that the South must have been unbelievable as they migrated.
