This is guna sound like a stupid question but anyway

i recently purchased a jessops 360FD flash gun for my sony A200 and im very happy with the results it is producing but it is very loud as in it makes a high pitched noise that continues is this normal if so can i stop it

I don't know the unit, but it may have an audio warning to tell you that it is still recycling, it should stop when it's ready for use again. If this is the case, then I would expect it to have a switch to turn the system off, but it may not.

This is what i thought at the start but no matter how long you leave it and without taking a picture it doesnt go

cheers for the reply

Most flash units make a loud pitched noise when they recharge very fast from dumping the full charge with a high power or long range shot. I've never had a unit though where the noise continued after full charge was reached, and I could imagine that to be very annoying indeed! I'd certainly be taking it back to Jessops if only to ascertain whether or not it's normal for this gun.
