It's easy to get on the skyline on the far side of the lake, and if you are there early morning there are regular cloud inversions all through the winter. Quite magical.
 
im just struggling where about in coniston tbh - looking at google maps asi feel another midweek roadrtip coming on - but cant walk incredibly far because of my mut :( she can go for about 30 mins then rest etc....

sorry to hi-jack :/
 
if it's me you are asking...I was thinking of the summit of High Parkamoor. It will need a walk, but probably more than 30 mins, so might be out of the question for man's best pal.
