The original does not look bad to me. The relaxed scene makes up for the odd colours and softness. Does have a slight 'noise reduction' look to it that spoils it a little.

Personally I rather like the colour of it, rendering it faithfully would take away a lot of the personality from the shot the way I see it.

And you're right, it's very soft, I think I overdid the noise ninja (first attempt with it!).
