Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI

Only just started using this software and it seems pretty good to me, but I don't know much about editing software. So I would appreciate yourmore learned advise. Is it any good?? compared to other software. Should I stick with it or buy something else?

I've also had Photoshop 7.0 for quite some time but never got the hang of it.

I use PSP 7 for virtually all my editing and I don't think you really need anything else. Later versions of PSP, including X1 are just getting fancier with very few improvements you're likely to really benefit from IMHO.

My advice is stick with PSP. You'll have difficulty getting to grips with any package - none of them are easy, they all require a fair bit of commitment to get to grips with them. Learn one package well and then think about changing if you really feel the need. Swapping from one package to another in the early stages can be really confusing.

Yep I agree with CT I started on PSP XI
( after getting a bundled v5 I think it was) and found it very useful. I was given Elements 5 (quite legit)
and used them side by side for awhile. they are very similar in many ways,
BUT what I have learned is that no editing software does it all.
There is always that "little bit extra" somewhere else.
Learn one and stick with it, would be my advice, also!
( and I really should take my own advice sometimes )
