Corn Exchange, Leeds

Hi everyone,

Just bought myself a Sigma 10-20mm for some wide angled tomfoolery. This is my first attempt and thought the Corn Exchange in Leeds would be an excellent place to try it out first.

Please let me know what you think.

I was planning on trying to get some landscape shots, but it started chucking it down today. So hopped on the train to Leeds instead. I'm kinda glad the weather was a bit pants or else I wouldn't have thought to go there.

The lens is excellent for the price. I've got a funny feeling it will probably be permenantly attached to the body for its entire life now

its a great building, we once had a meet there, as well as the victoria Quarter, which Russ who organised it got us access to the balcony levels was brill, the corn exchange really lends itself to wide angle shots, i really like the light coming through on the second

I had a wander through Victoria Quarter afterwards and got a few there too. Would've loved to get on the balcony.

1st works best for me.
Think both would benefit from a contrast boost.

Gonna go back one day when its darker as they have some funky looking LED lights that run towards the clock throughout the whole of the round ceiling. I think a long exposure when its darker will look awesome.

Larger images please and a hike in contrast IMVHO, they lack 'oomph'
