Hi would be grateful for any advice on this.
I was shooting with my Canon 5DII using a Lexar Pro 800x CF card which has been in the camera for a long while without issue. In the middle of the shoot I suddenly got an error message saying the card was unrecognised and needed to be reformated.
I tried the card in another 5D and for the same message. Other cards work fine in the original camera.
I connected the camera with the damaged card to my Mac and ran the free Lexar recovery tool but the card didn't even register as being there (maybe because it was in the camera, rather than a card reader (which I don't have)
Can anyone suggest how I might retrieve the data? I have really important work on there.
Would it be work buying a card reader to run the recovery software again
Are there data recovery places that will take the chip out of the card and recover that way?
I'm in Petersfield, Hampshire.
Thanks in advance
